Riverhouse and BAFTA
Screening Events

In April 2008 Riverhouse Productions hosted a networking event for healthcare communication professionals at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). Guests were invited to a reception followed by a private screening of Michael Moore's acclaimed insight into the US pharmaceutical industry, SICKO.

The feedback from the evening was overwhelming and general consensus of opinion suggested turning our private screenings & networking events into a regular feature of London's Business and Healthcare Communications Calendar. So that is exactly what are doing!

For those of you who were unable to make it to our first event then not to worry as we have arranged for two further BAFTA events. The first event will be a healthcare communications screening (with reception) at 6pm on Friday 26th September 2008 (film tbc). The second event will be a business communications screening (with reception) at 6pm on Friday 5th December 2008 (film tbc).

Places are limited at private BAFTA screenings so please do let us know if you would like to be our guest for these unique events. Invites will be mailed shortly.

Multiple Choice for Training and Compliance

Riverhouse Productions have developed an easy-to-use client-server interface with several applications that may be useful to you and your clients; firstly, it's a way of ratifying attendance at a meeting or symposium, secondly it could be used for sales rep training, or thirdly it has an application wherever understanding and compliance is needed.

As an example of the first case, suppose you are organising a symposium for a client at which delegates receive a certificate of attendance. Clearly your client would like to know that delegates have actually attended and understood the subject, so this simple test allows the delegate to respond while giving the client an opportunity to see in considerable detail the statistics of that response. Not just who and when, but also how many attempts were taken at each question, how long they took to respond, how many visits to the web site it took, and so on. There is immense room for adaptation and it affords the client an unprecedented level of control.

To try our quiz then simply click on the link below and you will be taken directly to a simple multiple choice quiz, designed to test your familiarity and understanding of Film and TV production. After you have completed the quiz you will be able to see how your answers could be used as part of a compliance or training tool.

Good luck!

Creative Design and Producer of "Power Toolbox", part of "Driving Down Blood Pressure"

WINNER of Pharmaceutical Marketing Effectiveness Award for Best Marketing Campaign, by Santé Communications on behalf of sanofi-aventis and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Riverhouse Productions has designed and produced an interactive presentation tool called the "Power Toolbox" for Sante Communications on behalf of sanofi-aventis and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

The toolbox forms part of a campaign called 'Driving Down Blood Pressure', which has been awarded 'Winner of Pharmaceutical Marketing Effectiveness Award for Best Marketing Campaign'.

The Power Toolbox is an interactive CD-ROM presentation tool used by Medical practitioners for presentations to their colleagues. The CD contains not only a standard presentation, but also planning and arranging resources, video clips of KOL's and case studies.

The CD includes a presentation builder that allows the representative to choose which slides, clips and case studies will be most relevant to their audience and most convenient to show in the time they have available. Many of the slides are linked, so when a slide that requires further explanation as a legal requirement is chosen, that slide will also automatically appear within the presentation.

"Feedback from the representatives has so far been very good too. The resource section has been singled out by those I have talked to as being of great use to them"

Winner: 'Ask about Medicines Award' with an Educational DVD called Positive Living

Riverhouse Productions are delighted to have been involved in the production of an award winning DVD for Burson Marsteller, a leading PR agency, and the Terrence Higgins Trust, a leading HIV and AIDS charity in the UK. The DVD won the award for the 'Excellence in the use of Technology' which included the communication of information about medicines or medicine taking through electronic media.

The Positive Living DVD was created to answer the questions commonly asked by people recently diagnosed with HIV and draw attention to connected prognosis issues. The project also looked to demonstrate how problems facing people with HIV have changed since the advent of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART).

The DVD includes a variety of features, ranging from interviews with a cross-section of British society to information on starting treatment and taking medication. It is designed to enable the viewer to revisit content in their own time for a slow and gradual absorption of information.

A spokesperson for the Terrence Higgins Trust commented: "The demand for the DVD was huge with 400 DVDs distributed in the first 2 weeks following launch".
